Qualifications and Essential Skills
What we Offer
The Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre Society is an “Employer of Choice”, and afford each employee an opportunity to help make a real difference in our community, and more importantly in the lives of less privileged people. We take great care in hiring the right people who fit, and who share our outlook on the value of people.
If you feel you qualify for this newly defined role, please apply with a cover letter outlining why we should hire you. We thank you in advance, not just for your interest in this role, but also for your passion and interest in the Calgary Drop-In Centre, and the helping profession as a whole.
WHAT IS KINDNESS?
It’s a friendly hello and a disarming smile. It’s a firm handshake or a warm hug. Its the reassuring pat on the back that follows proud words of encouragement. It’s treating everyone with compassion, dignity and respect.
Its forgiveness. Its generosity. Its empathy and understanding. Its doing a good deed for someone who can never return the favour. Its authenticity, love and inclusivity.
Kindness isn’t just something you do – it’s a way of being. And not just when you think someone is watching, but especially when no one is.
We thank all interested applicants; however, only qualified candidates will be contacted. No phone calls please.
